It really does go head-to-head with those turquoise-blue pools we all fly over when we approach or depart LAX. Different meditation on the L.A. dream.

This picture reminds me of my trip to Vegas only because I saw so many abandoned motels en route. Its amazing how people can somehow forget about things that were once so alive. The marquee above the motel even says "Desert West" which is ironic because this is exactly what I picture when I think of desert-ridden areas. Do you know where this is in LA?
